Meet the Counselor
|
About Ms. PattonI have been in the field of education for 20 years. I graduated from the University of Georgia Cum Laude with a BS in Education and a minor in psychology. I taught 4th & 5th for nine years and was very involved in my elementary schools as the school representative for the Georgia Association of Educators, as well as very active in school activities.
I had always thought that in counseling, I could have a positive and lasting influence on young children’s attitudes about themselves and their lives. I went into obtaining my masters degree with passion and vigor, working full time. It was enjoyable watching my elementary aged boys see me study as they also did their own schoolwork. I am now in my sixteenth year as a school counselor at River Eves in Fulton County. It brings me great joy to help the children at River Eves. My two wonderful sons, Scott and Lance, both recently graduated from SEC schools! Scott who graduated in business management from the University of Mississippi (Go Rebels!) and Lance graduated from my Alma Matter, the University of Georgia (Go Bulldogs). My future husband David is an architect , who often volunteers in our annual REES Career Day. |
